A World of Fall Forever

Where one could summon glory
So it gathered like a golden mist
Around the battlefield of one's own story
And obscured the rusted bloody past

Where death was not allowed
Except to serve the pumpkin pie
And keep the children entertained
With tales of winters they would never know

Where love would sing all day
In the bed in the bath in the kitchen and field
And we would laugh to behold her so cheerful
On just one leg, and always off key.
