When Thin Ice Is Nice

On the second of two really cold mornings, a film of ice covered the inner cove in Prospect Harbour. I can remember when the cove froze so thick I couldn't hack my way out with a maul. This morning I won't try to go out in the dinghy, but it's because of the wind and my health, not the ice. This morning the ice is just beautiful. And the little seal is gone who was sunbathing all day yesterday on the dock by the dinghy. I'm sure if it wants back up to get a little more sun that it won't be a problem.
