Winter Color by the Sea
Be still my heart
as the dirty white of the ice
oozing out from the island's thin soil
Be subdued my desires
as the red of the undergrowth
hiding the birds that stayed on
Be firm as the grey of the granite
Be fresh as the green that cares nothing for seasons
Be the light, o please be, that brings the color anyway
O my true nature
simple and profound
